OFF CAMPUS Nolo+ was inaugurated in the presence of Gaia Romani, Councillor for Civic and General Services of the City of Milan and the Rector of the Politecnico Donatella Sciuto.

The new space of the University located inside the covered Mercato Comunale on Viale Monza in Milan, with its 30 square meters, doubles the size of the existing OFF CAMPUS Nolo, the project recently awarded at the Seoul Design Award 2023, enriching it with new activities.

This expansion responds to the current need to provide a place large enough to accommodate a growing number of students, interns and thesis students, in support of a variety of projects ranging from food recovery issues to poverty alleviation, as well as the creation of supportive neighborhood networks. The new space will also host cultural and scientific dissemination events and activities, bringing new creative resources and reinforcing existing collaborations.

Also participating in the morning were Alessandro Perego, Vice Chancellor for Sustainable Development and Impact at Politecnico di Milano, Alessandro Deserti, Director of the Department of Design, Davide Fassi, coordinator of the Polimi DESIS Lab, Simone Locatelli, President of Municipality 2, and Nino Aratari, Ciresola Parents Association (I.C. Giorgi).
